Example Queries

Learn how to search for products using filters, price trends, and competitive metrics

Agellic AI understands natural language, so you can search for Amazon products the same way you'd ask a friend. Here are examples of what you can do.

Finder Searches

Search for products matching specific criteria. The more filters you include, the more targeted your results.

Basic Searches

Start simple with category, price, and rating filters:

  • "Find kitchen products under $30 with 4+ stars"
  • "Show me Electronics with sales rank under 50,000"
  • "Find products in Home & Garden priced between $15 and $40"

Price Trends and Drops

Find products with recent price changes:

  • "Find products where the price dropped more than 20% in the last 30 days"
  • "Show me items that are at their lowest price in 90 days"
  • "Find products where Amazon's price increased over 15% in the last week"

Price drop percentage is great for deal hunting. A 30%+ drop often signals clearance or a pricing error worth investigating.

Amazon Competition

Filter by how often Amazon holds the buy box:

  • "Find products where Amazon has the buy box less than 30% of the time"
  • "Show me items where Amazon holds the buy box over 90% of the time"
  • "Find products where Amazon is frequently out of stock"

Price Stability

Use standard deviation and flipability to find stable or volatile pricing:

  • "Find products with stable pricing and low competition"
  • "Show me items with high price volatility in Electronics"
  • "Find products good for Amazon-to-Amazon flips"

Flipability measures historical price swings—higher scores mean more arbitrage opportunities. Price stability (low standard deviation) is better for consistent replenishment models.

Out of Stock Opportunities

Find products where Amazon goes out of stock:

  • "Find products where Amazon was out of stock more than 50% of the last 90 days"
  • "Show me items where Amazon just came back in stock"
  • "Find products with high sales rank but frequent Amazon stockouts"

Sales Velocity

Filter by sales indicators:

  • "Find products selling over 100 units per month"
  • "Show me items with at least 20 sales rank drops in the last 30 days"
  • "Find fast-moving products in the Toys category"

Combined Advanced Filters

Real sourcing queries often combine multiple criteria:

  • "Find Kitchen products under $25 with 4+ stars, where Amazon has the buy box less than 50% of the time and the price dropped at least 10% in the last 30 days"
  • "Show me Electronics with sales rank under 100,000, low price volatility, and where Amazon is out of stock more than 30% of the time"
  • "Find products in Health & Household selling over 50 units monthly with at least 100 reviews and Amazon buy box share under 40%"

Always specify the marketplace (US, UK, Canada, Germany, etc.) for accurate results. Results default to US if not specified.

Product Lookups

Look up specific products by their ASIN to see detailed information and price history.

Single Product

  • "Show me the details for ASIN B09V3KXJPB"
  • "What's the price history for B07ZPKN6YR?"
  • "Look up product B08N5WRWNW"

Multiple Products

  • "Compare ASINs B09V3KXJPB and B07ZPKN6YR"
  • "Show me details for these products: B08N5WRWNW, B09V3KXJPB, B07ZPKN6YR"

By UPC or EAN

  • "Look up UPC 673419375863"
  • "Find the product with EAN 4006381333931"

You can find an ASIN in any Amazon product URL. It's the 10-character code that starts with "B0" (e.g., amazon.com/dp/B09V3KXJPB).

Price History Queries

Understand pricing trends over time:

  • "What's the price history for B09V3KXJPB?"
  • "Has this product been cheaper in the past 6 months?"
  • "Show me the lowest price this item has been"
  • "When was B07ZPKN6YR last on sale?"

Tips for Better Results

Be Specific

Instead of "find good products," try "find Kitchen products under $30 with 4+ stars, sales rank under 50,000, and Amazon buy box share under 50%."

Use Marketplace Context

Specify your target marketplace:

  • "Find products on amazon.co.uk..."
  • "Search the German marketplace for..."
  • "Show me products in Canada..."

Start Broad, Then Refine

If your search returns too many results, Agellic will suggest ways to narrow it down. If too few, try relaxing some filters.
