2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Password (stored in hashed form only; we never store plaintext passwords)

If you authenticate using a third-party service (such as Google OAuth) in the future, we may receive basic profile information (such as your name and email address) from that provider.

2.2 Keepa API Key

To use the Service, you provide your Keepa API key. Your key is encrypted at rest and in transit, isolated to your account, and used solely to make API requests to Keepa on your behalf. We do not log your key in plaintext or share it with any third party.

2.3 Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including:

  • Searches you perform
  • Product lists you create and save
  • Features you use and interactions with the Service

This data is associated with your account and is not shared with other users.

2.4 Technical and Log Data

We use Axiom for logging and monitoring. Logs may include:

  • IP addresses
  • Browser type and version
  • Device information
  • Timestamps of requests
  • Error and performance data

All personally identifiable information (PII) is redacted from our logs before storage. We do not retain raw PII in our logging infrastructure.

2.5 LLM Telemetry

We monitor interactions with our AI agent to improve service quality and troubleshoot issues. This telemetry is subject to the same PII redaction practices—personally identifiable information is stripped before logging.

2.6 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information (such as credit card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not receive, store, or have access to your full payment card information. We may receive limited information from Stripe, such as the last four digits of your card and billing address, for record-keeping and support purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Authenticate your account and authorize access
  • Execute Keepa API requests on your behalf using your API key
  • Save your searches, product lists, and preferences
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe)
  • Monitor and improve Service performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoot errors and provide customer support
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or for any purpose unrelated to providing the Service.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Cached Keepa data: Retained temporarily to improve performance; deleted when no longer needed or upon account termination
  • Saved searches and product lists: Retained until you delete them or terminate your account
  • Logs: Retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and security purposes, then automatically deleted

When you delete your account, we delete your personal information, saved data, and cached results. Some information may be retained in backups for a short period or as required by law.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Keepa API keys are encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms; we never store plaintext passwords
  • Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Access to production systems is restricted and logged
  • PII is redacted from logs before storage

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Correction

You can access and update your account information at any time through the Service.

7.2 Data Export

You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at support@agellic.com.

7.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information, saved searches, product lists, and cached data.

7.4 Communication Preferences

We send two types of emails:

  • Transactional emails: Account confirmations, password resets, billing notices, and service-related updates. These are necessary to operate your account and you cannot opt out of them.
  • Marketing emails: Product updates, tips, and promotional content. We only send these if you opt in at signup. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by updating your preferences in your account settings.

We use a limited number of cookies to operate the Service. All cookies are first-party (set by Agellic directly). We do not use third-party cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels.

9. International Users

Agellic is operated from Canada. If you access the Service from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to and processed in Canada. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
